Abstract:

This layer depicts the 1 mile subdivsion control area around the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Middleburg, as established by Section 1241.03 of the Land Subdivision and Development Ordinance. The Town of Purcellville subdivision control area ceased to exist upon dissolution of the Purcellville Urban Growth Area Management Plan (PUGAMP) and the Town of Purcellville/County of Loudoun Annexation Agreement in 2013. The control area around the Town of Hamilton is based on the map prepared by the County of Loudoun entitled "Parcels within 1 mile of Hamilton" and the control area around the Town of Middleburg is based on the map prepared by the County of Loudoun entitled "Town of Middleburg One Mile Subdivision Control Limit".

Purpose:

This layer is used to identify parcels which are located within the subdivision control area of the Town of Hamilton or the Town of Middleburg. Within those areas, application for subdivision is made to the respective Town (Hamilton or Middleburg) and the Town subdivision ordinance is applicable. All other County ordinances (including zoning) remain in full force.
