Abstract:
This layer contains the boundaries of the county's planning subareas.
Purpose:
The county is divided into subareas to facilitate planning services, demographic forecasting, capital facility planning, and service delivery. The subareas also differentiate communities of interest as defined in the Comprehensive Plan.
Supplemental Information:
This data layer is often updated when a new General Plan is adopted. Data are stored in the corporate ArcSDE Geodatabase as a polygon feature class. The coordinate system is Virginia State Plane (North), Zone 4501, datum NAD83 HARN.
