Abstract:

This Data set consists of point locations representing the building location of Public Safety Structures. Types of structures included are: Fire and Rescue stations, Sheriff Stations and Police Stations.

Purpose:

Public safety stations is used to identify the location of Public Safety Buildings for purposes of producing Map products as well as performing analysis of distance and time for services area determinations as well as response time estimates to an identified location.

Supplemental Information:

Data are stored in the corporate ArcSDE Geodatabase as a point feature class. The coordinate system is Virginia State Plane (North), Zone 4501, datum NAD83 HARN (vertical datum, if applicable, NAVD88), US Survey foot units.

As needed; as stations are added or existing stations change status
