Abstract:

The police zone defines each Loudoun County Sheriff deputies’ Patrol Sectors. The patrol sector is the area for which a given unit is responsible. These sectors are identified by a Sheriff Substation followed by area number sequentially by tens. There are 5 substations: Admin, Sterling, Brambleton, Dulles South, and Round Hill. For 911 dispatching purposes, the incorporated Towns of Leesburg, Purcellville and Middleburg have their own unique sector numbers.

Purpose:

The boundary defines the extent of each police unit’s jurisdiction.

Supplemental Information:

Data are stored in the corporate ArcSDE Geodatabase as a point feature class. The coordinate system is Virginia State Plane (North), Zone 4501, datum NAD83 HARN.
