Abstract:

This data set identifies all of the current Election Precincts for the Loudoun County. It provides the name of the Precinct (i.e Clark's Gap), the precinct code (i.e. 409) and the official U.S. Census 2010 population. These precinct boundaries were last reviewed, updated, and adopted by the Board of Supervisors in July 2015.

Precincts are wholly contained within the Loudoun Board of Supervisors' election districts. The first digit of the three digit Precinct code identifies the precinct's local BOS election district.

Purpose:

Voting districts are established by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and Electoral Board for the purpose of conducting elections.

Supplemental Information:

Data are stored in the corporate ArcSDE Geodatabase as a point feature class. The coordinate system is Virginia State Plane (North), Zone 4501, datum NAD83 HARN.

Maintenance and Update Frequency:

As needed. Generally 2 times or less per year.
